Doug Tilley currently serves GraVoc Associates as a Senior Consultant with a focus in financial management and information security practices. Prior to working at GraVoc, Mr. Tilley served as Chief Financial Officer of Hi-Tech Duravent, an industrial and medical products manufacturer. Prior to working at Hi-Tech Duravent, Mr. Tilley served as Controller and Cost Accountant for M/A Com for seven years and as Controller for Spacetec IMC Corporation for five years. Mr. Tilley received a B.S. in Business Administration from Bryant University. 

 

Gregg Rubenstein
Legal Counsel

Gregg Rubenstein is currently a Partner at Nixon Peabody where his areas of practice are: Franchise & Distribution, Labor & Employment, and Litigation & Dispute Resolution. Gregg represents franchise clients on a nationwide basis in a variety of forums.  Past representations include enforcement of post-termination covenants not to compete, enforcement of arbitration agreements and franchise terminations. 

Mr. Rubenstein has co-authored multiple papers on franchise matters which have been presented at the 2006 International Franchise Association Legal Symposium and the the 2007 Ontario Bar Association Annual Franchise Law Conference. Mr. Rubenstein is a scheduled speaker at the 2008 International Franchise Association Legal Symposium and was featured in the October 22, 2007 edition of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.

Mr. Rubenstein received a J.D, magna cum laude, from Boston University and a B.S. in Labor Relations from Cornell University.

 

Dr. Stephen Spinelli Jr.

Stephen Spinelli Jr. currently serves as President of the University of Philadelphia where he leverages his many years of leadership experience in academia and business to improve quality and value at the institution. Prior to joining Philadelphia University Dr Spinelli chaired the entrepreneurship division at Babson College, was director of the Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship, and held the Alan Lewis Chair in Global Management. He was a dynamic member of the President’s Cabinet and the Academic Council, as well as chair of the entrepreneurship task force that contributed to the College’s domination of top-ranked institution for Entrepreneurship. 

Dr. Spinelli’s work has appeared in journals such as the Journal of Business Venturing, the British Management Journal and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship. He has also been featured in such popular press as theWall Street JournalFinancial TimesThe Boston Globe, and Entrepreneur. He has authored numerous business cases and co-authored Business Plans That WorkFranchising: Pathway to Wealth CreationHow to Raise CapitalNever Bet the FarmEntrepreneurship: The Engine of Growth and New Venture Creation for the 21st Century.

Dr. Spinelli was co-founder of Jiffy Lube International and Chairman and CEO of the American Oil Change Corporation, helping to pioneer the quick lube industry nationwide and turning Jiffy Lube into the nation’s dominant competitor with more than 1,000 service centers.

Dr. Spinelli received his Ph.D. in Economics from The Management School, Imperial College, University of London, his M.B.A. from Babson College, and his B.A. in Economics from McDaniel College.
